Sorry it's been awhile since I've given you all an update on the remaining Shadow of the Villains related content to be released. I figured I'd give you all an update here, and clear a few things up.

1) Hardware Failures and Feature Delays

We're still wrestling with the hardware failures that happened at the end of August. Those crashes have not effected our live servers, but have left us without a machine to do new feature development and testing. As a result, it's been slow going getting some of this stuff finished up.

2) Flat Black

The Flat Black game theme has been available for players since August 28th. Nobody has yet uncovered the secret of Flat Black, so we've added an additional clue to help you out.

3) Books

We've added a new Books feature, with that we'll be expanding over time. For now, books are just something you collect for the point of collecting them. There are currently three books hidden in the game. You can read books you've collected from your detective page.

In the future, there will be other reasons to find and collect books, but for now the only thing you can do with collected books is read them.

4) Cairo, the Lama, etc.

The remaining content updates, including Cairo, the Lama and a bunch of other stuff will be up very soon. Possibly by this next weekend (October 7th-8th). If not then certainly the week after that. Once again, we're sorry for the wait.

$20k for a book?!?!

*sighs in despair and pulls out her empty pockets*

Guess I have to find a hobby besides reading.....

I forgot that Ben said they will have a purpose later on. So I recant my earlier murmuring and beg the Sleuth Gods for their forgiveness. I'm sure I will reap great rewards for my purchases. :)

When you open the books from the link on the detective page, the book is not all there, but the link at the bottom of it takes you to a site where you can get the entire book (for free)

Of course, I may be entirely wrong, but I would assume that Ben just didn't want to store a 400 page book on here, so only put in the first bit then added the link.

But who knows, there may be some other as-yet-unknown reason!

Maybe its incomplete because for later on we might have to travel to find the missing pages of the book!! I dunno just my thought!
