Same premise as the into it/not into it thing.

Read a choice. Make a choice. Post a choice.

Poodles or chihuahuas?

OH MY GOD

Okay, anyone who thinks that Blondie sang I Will Survive...well, Ceres, I just think you need some pop culture schooling :) Gloria Gaynor is rolling over in her chubby chick trousers.

Survivor is a horrible TV show, btw.

Breakthrough Reality TV show: That stupid Survivor or REAL WORLD baby!

Hmm Deborah Harry singing 'I Will Survive' intrigues me... I think I'm thinking of a completely different version. But I still choose that over Survivor (or Mark Burnett needs another Porsche). I really dislike 'reality' TV where the producers contrive to make 'real' people do 'unreal' things.

And because I don't have an original thought it my head: "Big Brother" the reality TV show or "1984" the novel.

Ok, ok. I confess. I hadn't had my cup of coffee this morning and was still feeling the effects of my cold medicine. With all due apologies to Gloria Gaynor, I submit my resignation to the Completely Useless Pop-Culture Facts Club and await their disciplinary action.

With regards to the question at hand, I'll take 1984 in a slight edge over Big Brother. But only because Big Brother consists of a group of amoral idiots and George Orwell has had at least 1 original idea, ever.

In the 1984 vein: 1984 (the Van Halen album) or 1984 (the movie based on the novel)?

1984 (Van Halen album), thank you, because I'm pretty sure the music therein is better *cough*. And take off my t-shirt before you jinx the band, and they break up.

Showing off my age...

Back in the day, bands led by hawt chicks: Blondie or Berlin?

Berlin, I guess. It was a close call.

I like to read so I choose books over movies especially since movies tend to glorify sex more often than not. So how about Nancy Drew or Agatha Christie?

Hrm, you ask a difficult question. Seriously, because I grew up reading Nancy Drew books, then spent a fortune at a local bookstore buying every Agatha Christie they had. I love them both. But for the sake of choice, I flipped a lifesaver (didn't have a coin handy) and Agatha won.

So, gorillas or chimpanzees?

Chimps, totally. There's the DNA thing that makes us so close, they're a little smaller and easier to push around when they get all bitchy because I've run out of cigarettes and see 'n say toys, plus I swear to god, every time I go near a gorilla some guy who hangs around the bus station gives me three beers, says I look like Sigourney Weaver and asks me if I wanna play 'Gorillas in the Mist' in the shower with him. Which I DON'T, ugh!

Hammocks or deck chairs?

what the hell, don't you people like reclining???

Okay fine, a new one: 1985 celebrity Corey battle:

Haim, Hart or Feldman?

Which washed-up Corey will reign supreme???? Who will be forced to wear his sunglasses during the day AND at night??? Only you can decide!
