Thanks to Admin for posting resumes. It is a better idea than listing all detective names (for those that wanted privacy).

Bad News:
There seems to be a bug with the resumes. I know of at least 2 detectives, that show them listed in agencies they never joined.
I believe it is tied to "gift subscriptions". When a person buys someone a gift subscription, it automatically links the accounts. So, now the gifter and giftee have the same resume.

I am sure Sleuth Admin is working on correcting this, but I wanted to let everyone know, before we go around accusing people of "infiltrating our agencies" :D

And, if an agency changes names, everyone in the former agency is listed as being in the latter agency. Confusing. I just dont think this will be helpful in solving the problem it was meant to.

Sorry, I didnt see the post in the subscriber center (always forget about that board lol), so nevermind on the non-sub questions :)

Even if it doesn't "solve" some of the problems that have occurred recently, it's a definite step in the right direction, and a solution that respects detectives' privacy while allowing for a new dimension in the game. I think it's kind of neat to see some of the older detectives' agency history, and see where they were before they made their current homes.

But my point is, its not necessarily their detective. It anyone they've ever bought a gift sub for. I know for a fact that there are detectives listed as having been in my agency, that weren't. Simply because of a name change to the agency.

Solve and Autumn you said exacally what I have found. There seems to be a problem. Some detectives seem to be linked because of the IP address of a subscription payment. Just one gift subscription seems to link the detectives together for all their histories. Some of those older detectives may not have been in all the agencies that are listed. But because they at one time bought a subscription for someone, both detectives now have the same history, or at least very close. And then you have the problem of seeing false information.

Not to mention the detectives whose complete history isnt listed for some reason...

Yeah and also, I know other agencies ppl in my agency have been in that aren't listed? Is that because they didn't actually subscribe while they were there?

Oh and also you can't see histories for retired detectives? If you don't know their new name, how do you know which one is which?

Sorry, just lots of ?s :)

Think this thing is too full of mistakes to be useful in any way at the moment.

Some points.

It does not show agencies that have been closed down. So the 'temporary' agencies people use in multiple cities do not show up.

When an agency "changes names" what happens is you open the new one and close the old one. So the old one will not appear.

It is a very good thing to see the various multiple agencies that people have been in.
