We made some changes to the villain hunt clues today.

Most of these changes are intended to make them easier to read, and we cleaned up a few clues that were commonly misunderstood.

The bad news is, there were a couple situations where specific co-conspirators/hideouts that were impossible to narrow down to a single option, even with all the clues.

This was my mistake, and I’m really really sorry for the frustration it has caused people. Because of the random nature of these hunts, and the length they can take to complete, these situations were difficult to detect.

The missing clues have been added for those townies, so I’m now confident there are no longer any situations where somebody should have to guess on a villain hunt, as long as they are patient enough to get all the clues.

Well... Im still in Delhi since the expansion started. The only thing that changed is that now my clues are BOLD. But they are still the same clues.

Can the chance on getting a new clue increase after a while? Im getting really fed up with AIs. Just want this to finish.

At the end of a hunt something happens with a choice, but unfortunately it is not very clear where each choice would go. If each choice was labeled where it was to be put, then it would clear things up. I tried to be vague so as to no upset sleuth admin.

You definitely succeeded in being vague. : )

Any chance we can get the clues we've found each time displayed on our CASE page during a hunt? That way we can double-quadruple check before we accuse?

Nice thought - you sound like me checking my clues in triplicate (at least) - I'd like that too :) But I think that having to keep track of your clues is probably part of the deal. Like keeping track of a normal case. After I stuffed up my first hunt I learnt to keep better notes.

I can't take credit for this idea, but I saw someone (don't know who, yay anonymous stranger) keeping track of them by copy/paste/posting new clues in their bio. So yeah...now I quadruple check that, lol.

Um. One thing, if you choose to do this, I learned the hard/ *gah* stupid way that it REALLY helps to remember to save changes to the bio after you paste them in...

lol, well i do keep mine on a chart with all the info, and triple check that it is right before i leave that page... but i get super nervous when i have to wait for a clue and start to think that maybe i messed up.

its really just to confirm that i am only paranoid.

I copy/paste them and PM them to myself, along with the city, then save it.
