"Do any of you guys have that band who's drummer lost his arm and the singer died."

Def Leppard, you mean?

i liked this thread, so i am bumping it.

i like classical, blues, motown, classic rock, 80's music, and weird indie music. i don't like country music or christmas music very much.

some favorites right now are:
talking heads, stevie wonder, captain beefheart, kate bush, m.i.a., dengue fever, adam ant. and guitar wolf - they are the coolest rock n roll band from japan and of all the world. their lead singer, seiji, is really sexy, too. so i guess if i did have to have someone on my freebie list, i would pick him.

whatever happened to the freebie post, anyway :)

I like it too...even though it pulled a walmart and beat the crap out of my lowly little mom and pop 'sleuthtunes' thread.

Plus, "I don't like Christmas music very much" is one of the funniest things I have ever heard! Somewhere, someone is rocking out to 'I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" in August.

Feeling the weird indie vibe too. Right now I'm listening to a weird indie band, Most Serene Republic...Bright Eyes is next.

*lol* - thanks for the sympathy :D
Hmm, during the season it's pretty much everything else because a) Christmas is just one big commercialized scam, b) all the religious stuff is just a hoax and c) why miss out on the fun of a little teasing/provoking when one hardly needs to make an effort (this includes attempts to advertise project "No Presents") - however, last year he was in charge of getting together the music for the Christmas party at his office (don't ask why they chose him) and stumbled upon "Driving Home for Christmas" which he really liked (and yes, I have been submitted to it a couple of times since unless the off/skip button has been within reach) so I think there might actually be hope yet ;D
