Has anyone done this featured mystery? I've kinda reached an impasse - no one seems to have anything else to say and I don't know what to do next. Any clues/tips would be useful, I don't want to have to quit because I was qute enjoying it!

Never done this one, but ussually making rounds at the townies and ppl releases new clues. Also dont forget research.
Some FM have clues that are "time" based, do you might need to wait till you get new ones.

Some of those featured mysteries allow for multiple research trips at various times in the mystery. You may want to try revisiting the Hall of Records.

Also, if finding something in the Hall of Records is absolutely necessary to complete a featured mystery, you can do so without having the Research skill. Otherwise, it would be impossible to do 70% of the FMs without research.
