I know we already have the Sleuths Bookshelf, but people there talk about their general tastes, what books they liked in childhood etc. I'd like all of us to share with others what we are reading now, do we like it or not and to recommend the books we like. Possibly we could have a similar thread for movies.

Dollface,

I hope it's for health reasons and not vanity because anyone worth his weight in salt will recognize your inner beauty from an ocean away.

Just so Nikkie doesn't have to have the entire first page filled with her own face staring back at her ;p
(reference is to the Rem watch thread before anyone accuses me of being rude ;D)

Onto the business of books. I'm currently reading "The Shadow of the Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafón and enjoying it so much. I read the first chapters a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't really stick with it - maybe because it has turned out to be more an indoor type of book (to me anyway), maybe because Agatha Christie was beckoning (first time I really got around to reading her and that was such fun) and high summer seemed the perfect time for a bit of murder and mystery (not that there isn't mystery "The Shadow of the Wind"). Anyway, I picked it up again yesterday during a 3 hour powerout and have hardly been able to put it down since. For every page I get more and more enraptured by the story and the characters, who are so likeable that I can't help hoping they'll get safely through to the end and that nothing bad will happen to them. Hopefully the ending won't be a disapointment to what has so far been a very thrilling read. Okay, I'm off to the next chapter :)

Greayling, *Shadow of the Wind*! So much that I passed it onto Ben, who then passed it onto a friend of ours and so on...

I've just finished the penultimate book in Stephen King's Dark Tower series. I will finish that series as soon as I finish a little book that is not worth mentioning!

What do i have to say to that matter, the Frost series, for detective like stories, but i am actually reading Musashi, and its been forever, so it seems, they are two books with 900 pages each, they are great but just to carry the thing makes me lasy.....
