I just want to say THANK YOU for the sticky posts. It is so nice to be able to sticky post the welcome threads for our agency. This is a great idea.

I may have to consider actually creating something for our message board just so I can play with the new toy.

Not sure if I like these sticky posts. Shouldn't the laws of supply & demand decide which posts remain at the top and which ones are doomed to be stored in the basement?

Yeah, but it's still so nice to have the "Welcome Newbies" thread permanently on top so that anyone interested in reading it won't have to read through a dozen pages of "bump" whilst sifting out the information they can use :)

I can see the point in the welcome newbies thread. But conversation topics in the gumshoe lounge?

I think we will just end up with too many threads stuck to the top.

There was never a reason to bump any thread that is in a moderators picks section. Simply post a link to the pertinant thread in any answer you give.

I do think that having sticky threads in the agency boards makes much more sense.

The reason those specific conversation topics were chosen is that we often find our boards cluttered up with duplicate threads on those topics. We end up deleting most of them and requesting they follow the original thread instead, but thought this might make things easier for everyone.

If it doesn't work out, we can always change it.

I was just thinking that ben could make a stiky in the recruitment board telling that (one more time) this borad is only for suscribed users, but I just come to the conclusion that's just a bad idear.
