Wouldn't it be better if we can use all the skills we have to convince the suspects or witnesses to answer more questions? For example, if I cannot interrogate a suspect to answer more questions, I can still use my ability of sweet talking, etc. What do you think?

If that were the case, the Judge of Character skill would be useless, because who cares which is more effective if you are going to use both anyway.

I see. I guess I'll work harder to get the skill for the Judge of Character. Btw, how is the 'skill point' calculated? Is is one skill point for beginner, easy, and intermediate modes? But sometimes after solving the case, I didn't even get a skill point, why was that?

You always get one skill point for a certain number of exp earned, and the amount of exp needed goes up as you advance through the game. That is why easiest levels no longer give you points for only solving one case. You can always earn skill points for all levels, but you might only get one for every two cases, or every three, and so on. More advanced cases give you more exp, so you also accumulate skill points more quickly.

Not only that, once you lose someone, you usually lose them for good. If say you push someone too far by interrogation, they're likely to slam the door in your face, no matter how much you plead.
