With great interest have I been reading the graduation thread.
It is one of the most interesting threads I have read in a long long time. I think we can pad ourselves on the back.

There is just something really interesting I noticed on the sleuth message boards, after being here for two years. Something that is quite different from other message boards and communities I have been in. Though we have brushed on topics what our favorite movies are, whether we think it is soda or pop, the books we read, and mystery games. We also know where we come from. On ocassion we discuss current events.

But no one ever posts about their actual life? Not only who we are, what we do, our family etc. But what happened in our lives, our day to day. Or anything behind being pretend detectives. I am one of the few people that for some reason (unknown to me except that jojo started) most people call Nikkie even on the message board, referring to my real name. As far as I know my bio, actual refers to me as a person outside of sleuth.

I personally would like to see more of that in here. But I am right assuming others don't? For as long as these message board exists we are still on the topic of new game ideas, newbie questions, and pub quizzes. I am assuming this is for a reason. Obviously no one has to share, but at the way our boards are now......I'd feel weird for it even being an option if I created a thread about something that happened to me today.

Personally what I like most about sleuthchat. Is that you are not talking to a bunch of pretend detectives, but actual people.

Well, dollface jstkdn, you're going to have to get me liquored up first and that's not going to happen any time soon as I've become a teetotaler after my binge after the Prohibition repeal. Don't pine for me too much. I've disappointed in the past and I don't want to spoil it for the other dames.

First and foremost, let me apologize in advance for my hick talk... I.E. ya'll, ya, holler, and any other word I use that you cannot pronounce/understand.

This is a good idea... although I rarely have time to actually read all of this I will for sure look for the people I know... helps in the stalking (muah ha ha)!

I'm a 22 year old female from Duncan USA (small town Oklahoma). My first name is Cheyenne (yes like the indian tribe and no I'm not indian) not sure I know all of you well enough for a last name lmao.

I work, I play often at the same time he he he. I was off for awhile from Sleuth, a big part of it being I was seeing someone and he took up all the time I had. What a waste, detective could be so high by now. Now that I'm single again, it's back to Sleuthing for me. I do oil paintings when I can/feel like it. They don't sell for much or often but it's enough to keep me going.

I don't have much to rant about. Believe that complaining does ya no good, just brings everyone else down. I love to kid around and joke ALOT though so if ya need a smile on your face holler at me.

I just came across this thread so, thought I'd post :)

I've been around here since Feb 2005, and most know me by "Mak" (Makensie Brewer) Her license ran out but, I'm sure she will renew sometime....eventually!

This is my 2nd detective, obviously, and people still call me Mak :)

My real name is Michelle, I am 34 (soon to be 35 August 2nd), I live in Ohio. Im very close to my parents, and my brother (he is 41).....they are my bestfriends :) I live with my fiance' in a house we just bought. It's big and beautiful. Sort of out in the country :) We have a bird (Cockatiel) named Tiki, an ornery puppy named Goldie, she is a yellow lab, and we have 2 1/2 yr old Boxer named Rusty. He is a big baby, and very protective of him and I, especially me :) We've had h im for 2 weeks. A friend of ours couldnt keep himand he wanted a good home for him, so, here he is. With us, in a good home. Quite the handful, having two dogs. Love them but sometimes wonder why the hell I got animals? LOL
Of course, when they do something sweet, I forget all about them thoughts!

I work part-time at my parents trucking company, and will soon be working 3rd shift at Wal-Mart. (my favorite store hehe)

This was a great idea, Nikki :)

My real name is Kimberly. When asked why I don't go by Kim I reply ... if my parents wanted to name me Kim, they would have. Sounds snobbish, however, I worked with a man named Kim and two of us with the same name and a different gender would have been confusing.

As some of you know I live just north of Memphis Tennessee. I am 39 years old and have been married for 18 years to Matt. I had worked for the last 3 years at the same company Matt did. I left in May but haven't figured out what I want to do when I grow up.

We have two cats, Munchkin and Sugar Plum and two dogs, Buckingham Badger (black lab) and Penelope LuLu (Chowpeiador). Buck and Penny for short. After we named Penny we realized we are going down a financial theme. I am in search of a yellow lab and who knows, perhaps we'll name it nickel.

We have realized with this many animals a King-size bed is not even close to large enough but I wouldn't trade them in for anything. Nothing beats coming in the door from a bad day and having them meet you at the door, tails wagging.

Nikki -- this was a great thread idea. After joining the sleuth team I do feel like I have a whole world of new friends. We should have a birthday list so we can wish everyone happy birthday on their special day too!

I agree with that, MissKimberly! No matter how aggravated I get with my animals, especially the pup, I wouldnt trade them in for anything. Coming home to their wagging tails, and doggy kisses, makes that stressful day just melt away :o) There is nothing that really beats that :)

One of the reasons I love Sleuth is because Sleuth has such a wonderful and close community. You get to meet real people and make new friends.

Let me introduce myself. My real name is Diana and I am an Asian American. I'm 13 years old and live in Texas.

I have a sister who currently goes to UT at Austin. My parents own a Chinese resturant which is both a blessing and a curse sometimes.

I'd like to one day become a pediatrictian, or a vet, or a fashion designer (I love to design dresses.)

I love animals. Everytime I see a cute puppy or kitten I can't help but just shout, "Oh puppy!" and hug them. :D I can be a little weird sometimes but otherwise I'm normal. I've been told that I am very sweet many many times, also.

I have many nicknames thanks to my friends at school. Here are a few : Cinderella (that's how I got my detective name), Dani, and Dan-Dan.

Great thread idea, first of all

I'm Kristin, 26, from a suburb of Boston, MA. Aside from the fact that I have WAY too much time on my hands to play sleuth, I work at a small construction supply company as an office manager. Went to college in Boston, got a criminal justice degree, and promptly went to work as a private investigator....let me just state for the record, the real thing is NOT as fun as sleuth, the cities arent as exotic, people clam a LOT more, and you don't get to hoof it around town, you sit in your car ALL day long :) No pets, no kids, no significant other to speak of though I will say that Moira and Daniel (see, first names!) have the most amazing story *wink wink*
