ok so other threads have the books, tv and movies questions sorted out...what about the music? What is the soundtrack of a sleuther's life? Albums...songs...artists...spit 'em out kiddies!

I'll start with a handful *knows in advance others' choices will give him an 'oh-yeah-smack-forehead' moment*:

Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon
Lauryn Hill: The Miseducation...
Garden State soundtrack (shoulda remembered that for the movie thread)
Led Zep: Houses of the Holy, Zeppelin 3
Ben Harper: Live from Mars
Broken Social Scene: You Forgot it in People
Fugees: Tha Score
Feist: Let it Die

sing people!

The sleuth admin plays a mean "closer to fine" on the guitar. Poor detective dionne dawson and Reda were probably praying to our dear lord to make Sunny, Ben, and myself stop our Indigo Girls mini-concert in my living room. (Make it stop, make it stop, make those 3 lunatics STOP NOW.)

ugh my guitar version of "closer to fine" is more like "closer to drag queen open mike night" than mean...but if ben/sunny/admin will take the high harmonies I'm more than willing to take another shot at bursting some eardrums.

(actually the scenario reminds me of a really weird new years a few years ago when a poorly tuned guitar and my waning skills were all I had to stop a coke dealer from punching my dad...but that's another story. Suffice it to say even really bad music can soothe the savage beast, when it's septum has turned into baby food)

oh snap squirrel...*cringes at sudden memory of a fondness so deep for the song 'take on me' that even its utterance makes Sigmund Freud twitch in his grave*

lol Mark...just wait till the 12 year old girls stop lurking and throw in their lists...seeing 19 people post a message with little hearts and more smilies than actual words in which they say that they would kill their bff to meet the pussycat dolls or (even worse) Bow Wow. Not L'il Bow Wow...just Bow Wow. You'll feel older than dirt then.

just taking care of my thread y'all

*reconsiders busking career*

hehe jstkdn... i think everyone should know how to play Closer 2 Fine :) (blows dust of guitar and plays C2F very ooh very badly... then tries galileo... then kills soft fingers with Mystery.) and do you 'really' want your Amstrad back?
