Think it could have been the Annual Sleuthville Ball in combination with Madame Giry's mentioning of the former bio contests that might have set a bell ringing somewhere.

Anyway, about a year ago we had the first annual Sleuth Avatar "Beauty" Pageant (http://newyork.hypoware.com/map/cityhall/post.spy?id=4671), won by Croesy, and it hit me that for an event to be both first and annual then it kind of calls for at least a second one as well, right? :D

I'm pretty sure there's a photo of Eliza Dushku (Faith from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) floating around Sleuth somewhere. If it wins...the fix is in.

Grey can you give us a date, then I make sure by then all the submitted pix go on air before that time. Just to make sure that people that have submitted a pic, and want to enter the contest......actually can.

Whoops, sorry, national Easter Holiday so I've been out of town for the past week.

Actually there are several ways we can go about it.

A) Like last year: Everyone nominates their favourite(s - depending on whether we're going for just one overall or one male and one female), and then after a certain date (to be set soon) we just count which picture(s) has(/ve) been nominated the most.

B) Those who want to enter the contest do so before a certain date (to be set soon), the "judges" decide on f.ex. 6 nominees, and we then ask Ben, politely, if we/he can make use of his polling device, everyone who wants to vote do so when the poll is set up, and the winner is then announced once the votes have been counted.

C) People nominate others or enter themselves before a certain date (to be set soon), and the "judges" then decide supremely (hehe) on a winner who will then be announced shortly after.


And hopefully, we can persuade Ben to create a new sash (as a replacement for the besmirched, unsanitary and uncleaned rag Croesy is dragging around ;p) or some other "beauty" trophy :)

if people could either enter themselves or be entered that would be gr8. we experienced in the bio comp, that we woulda had more entries if the wall flowers could have been dragged... ummm i mean 'eased' onto the dance floor! [ie with their permssion]

if you could do it the way u suggest where the judges whittle it down to six? and then a poll happens where those six faces appear and people vote for them as they log in, and the whole community is involved with the voting process, how cool would that be :) good thinkin' :)
