MY handwriting skill said the note was from a right handed person but it was a left handed person who did it!

If this was the only peice of evidence you found, it means you were missing evidence. Basic hair and thread skills will elimate that problem for you.

There are no fewer than 2 pieces of evidence at any level, but without the appropriate skills, you won't always find all the evidence. Only one piece of evidence will belong to the killer. The rest belong to people with real alibis.

And to clarify Anstett's adaptation of the formula...

fake/"none of your business" alibi + PE = Guilty
fake/"none of your business" alibi + WE = Guilty
WE+WE = Guilty

(PE=physical evidence, WE=witness evidence)

Look at it this way:

Many suspects visited the crime scene. Some of them left evidence behind like: hair, threads, notes or footprints. But only one of those clues was left by a person without alibi (fake or none). That is the killer. All the rest of the evidence is just there to confuse you.
