Detective Biography

Born in a family of Polish Jews and shipped to the Americas in his early teens, finding trouble had always been Bukowski's standout trait. In spite of his aspirations as a novelist, his ambitions crammed him into a weekly newspaper column. As a freelancer he worked part-time for a number of publications, for a few dimes a week plus expenses, until one assignment pushed him into the gruesome world of homicide.

It didn't take long to realise that a skilled researcher and interviewer and a natural talent for stumbling upon evidence was the perfect recipe for a detective. Still broke and with a newly acquired and much needed taste for spirit, Bukowski now finds inspiration in his work as sleuthing brought him one step closer to his dream; for the usual fee plus expenses.

Well mannered and polite, his education and intrinsic wit always proved to be a compensation for Bukowski's lack of courage and toughness.
