Detective Biography

You find a glossy magazine page reading,
"SOCIETY MOLL: MY INTERVIEW WITH HEIRESS AMELIA DE MALTESSE" by Katharine Wingsnardenfooten

She entered the Plaza hotel with her signature stride, recognizable from any vantage point on the streets of New York. A loose-hipped, swinging gait that accentuated her shapely legs capped off in Dior kitten keels. She wears a tailored emerald-green jacket-and-skirt ensemble that highlights her ivory skin and deep auburn hair. Wide green eyes fringed with a fan of dark lashes sweep the lobby with the appeal of a silver-screen ingenue, before her tiny rosebud mouth breaks into a queenly smile as I wave her down. This is the acclaimed heiress who's name is on everybodys lips- Amelia de Maltesse, or by her professional name, Molly Maltese.

As Miss Maltese takes a seat and offers one black-gloved hand in greeting, several passing ladies eye her with envy. Ms Maltese, or by her married name, Lady Billings was the centerpiece of a tragic drama only a few years ago. Freshly married to up-and-coming politician Jack Billings, she couldn't have expected the tragic incidents of one morning when their penthouse apartment caught fire. For years, Miss Maltese was presumed dead by her distraught parents and brother, now deceased. Miraculously she resurfaced a few short weeks ago, her marriage to Billings as strong as ever and the strangest tale yet- of years fighting crime as a private investigator with a seasoned team of New York natives not limited to Police Officer Joseph Zeo, retired lawyer Heimlich Von Victor and the mysterious Riza Hawkeye.

Amelia has offered veiled hints at a rich history of catching villains to crack the secrets of a framing of her husband, repeated murder attempts, involvement in dark magic, repeated dealings with faction heads all culminating in facing down the culprit behind the shambles of her life. Finally, she has agreed to spill her secrets to me, Katherine---"
